Mr. Reimer was born in Montreal Canada. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from the University of Florida in 1988. He received his Juris Doctorate (with honors), from the University of Florida College of Law in 1991. During law school, Mr. Reimer received numerous honors as a member of the Justice Campbell Thornal Moot Court Team, had an opportunity to argue a mock appellate matter to the Florida Supreme Court, and served as a lead prosecutor for the University's Honor Court. After law school, Mr. Reimer spent several years practicing in the Complex Litigation and Construction Group of the international law firm Becker Poliakoff. Mr. Reimer also has a great deal of direct experience in the construction industry and prior to becoming a lawyer, was a licensed Florida building contractor. In 1997, David Reimer and Alex Rosenthal decided to combine their similar experience and skills to form Reimer Rosenthal.

Mr. Reimer's practice includes both business consulting and commercial litigation. Although representing a wide range of businesses, Mr. Reimer spends a great deal of time representing developers and contractors, as well as members of the health care profession including doctors, chiropractors, and skilled nursing facilities. Mr. Reimer's litigation practice includes experience in state and federal court, as well as appeals to the state appellate courts throughout Florida and both the 5th and 11th Federal Circuit Courts of Appeal.

The types of cases Mr. Reimer handles involve business disputes of all types including partnership breakups, fraudulent transfer claims, manufacturer and vendor claims, as well as construction defects, delay and surety claims.

Mr. Rosenthal was born in Miami, Florida. He received his B.A. from the University of Virginia in 1986 and his Juris Doctorate (with honors), from the University of Florida College of Law in 1989, where he served on served on the law school's Journal of Law and Public Policy. He served as an intern for United States Magistrate Judge William C. Turnoff. He worked for two years in the Miami office of Stroock & Stroock & Lavan and then worked several years with the firm of Britton, Weissman, Lichtman & Dervishi, P.A., before forming his own law firm. In August 1997, Mr. Rosenthal formed Reimer Rosenthal. Mr. Rosenthal's practice areas include business counseling and transactions and state and federal commercial litigation with an emphasis on contract, fraud, employment law, real estate litigation, and complex commercial landlord-tenant litigation.

Mr. Rosenthal's litigation practice extends statewide in both state and federal courts. He is a member of the local Florida Bar, United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Rosenthal is a certified arbitrator in the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit, in and for Broward County, Florida. Mr. Rosenthal is AV Rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® 2010, 2011, and 2012 in the field of Commercial Litigation. Mr Rosenthal was also recently named a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America® which is an invitation-only trial lawyer honorary society established to reflect the new face of the American bar. Membership is limited to 3,500 Fellows, representing less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers.

Mr. Rosenthal handles trial and appellate issues before both state and federal courts where he has obtained several precedent setting decisions including:

Harty v. SRA/Palm Trails Plaza, LLC, 2010 WL 5128954 (S.D. Fla. 2010), a case which clarified that an ADA plaintiff lacks standing to complain about barriers that he did not encounter and is not entitled to perform a post-filing inspection of areas within a property that were not encountered by him prior to the filing of the complaint

Maya v. Omnicare, Inc., 2010 WL 2889569 (S.D. Fla. 2010), a case which clarified that a defendant cannot seek removal to federal court based on diversity jurisdiction if the amount in controversy is merely based on speculation

Martin v. Florida Power and Light Co., 909 So.2d 555 (Fla. 4th DCA 2005), the first case in Florida to establish the duty of utilities in underground damage cases

Briceno v. Sprint Spectrum, L.P., 911 So.2d 176, (Fla. 3d DCA 2005), a case involving the ability to bind parties to standard contractual terms posted on the internet

Watson v. Adecco Employment Services, Inc., 252 F.Supp.2d 1347 (M.D. Fla. 2003), one of the first cases ever to establish the limitation on liability of a temporary staffing firm for discrimination against a temporary employee

J & P Transp., Inc. v. Fidelity and Cas. Co. of New York, 750 So.2d 752 (Fla. 5th DCA 2000), the first Florida case to establish the automatic trebled civil damages following a criminal conviction for theft; and

Enriquillo Export & Import, Inc. v. M.B.R. Industries, Inc., 733 So.2d 1124 (Fla. 4th DCA 1999), the first Florida case to clarify that payment by check does not constitute payment when mailed.

Accessibility and responsiveness to clients and diligence when handling all matters are the cornerstones of Mr. Rosenthal's practice.

Outside of work, Mr. Rosenthal's interest include competitive health and fitness activities, volunteering for several organizations, travel and leisure time with his family, and nervously watching his daughters' equestrian jumping competitions.

Jennifer Gross

Ms. Gross grew up in Coral Springs, Florida. Ms. Gross graduated from the University of Florida, with honors, in May 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History. Ms. Gross then received her Juris Doctorate from the Florida State University College of Law in May 2003. While in law school, Ms. Gross was on the Dean's List, was honored with the College of Law's David and Cela Miller Scholarship and was an active member of the College of Law's Moot Court Team, placing in a national moot court competition. While an undergraduate at University of Florida, Ms. Gross also received a merit scholarship to study abroad at Moscow State University in Moscow, Russia where she studied Russian language and culture. During law school, Ms. Gross worked as a Certified Legal Intern and also interned for the law firm of Lott & Friedland, P.A., where Ms. Gross worked after her graduation from law school. Ms. Gross is a member of the Florida Bar and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida and practices in all aspects of litigation.

Amanda Jassem Jones is an associate at Reimer and Rosenthal, where she focuses her practice in the areas of commercial litigation and premises liability matters.

Prior to joining Reimer and Rosenthal in February 2009, Ms. Jassem Jones gained extensive trial experience while serving as an assistant state attorney for the 17th Judicial Circuit of Florida, where she was responsible for the prosecution of misdemeanor and felony crimes.

Ms. Jassem Jones received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with honors, from the University of Florida in 2003, where she was a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society. Ms. Jassem Jones then received her Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from Stetson University in May of 2006 where she was the recipient of a full tuition merit scholarship. While in law school, Ms. Jassem Jones was an Associate on the Stetson Law Review and a member of the Moot Court Board, placing twice in an International Moot Court Competition. During law school, Ms. Jassem Jones interned for the Office of the Attorney General for Child Services and served as an intern for United States District Judge for the Middle District of Florida Mary S. Scriven. Ms. Jassem Jones was also the recipient of the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award.
